Volunteers
We are so excited and appreciative because you are interested in volunteering at Benedict. To volunteer, you will either need to be Tier 1 or Tier 2 cleared. The Tier 1 process is more rigorous and requires live scan fingerprinting at your expense.
Teachers will reach out if/when there is a need for one or more of the following Tier 2 Volunteers:
LIBRARY HELPER – Support librarian during the time your Bobcat’s class is signed up to go to the Library. Library Volunteers would need Tier 1 clearance to host students in the library without the Librarian or Teacher and needs to attend a mandatory training by our librarian.
ROOM PARENT – Work closely with the classroom teacher and PTA to coordinate activities for the class, and communicate PTA information to the families of your child's class.
ART HELPER - Assist the art teacher during hands-on art production. Includes distributing materials, collecting, and cleaning materials as needed.
